Home Watch and Estate Care
The Diamond Rentals provides home watch and estate care for vacant homes, second homes and cottages across HRM and the South Shore. While you are away, we check on your property, look for small problems early and keep you updated, so you have peace of mind wherever you are.

Peace of mind while your home sits empty
An empty home can hide problems for weeks: a slow leak, a furnace that quits in January, a window left loose after a storm. Regular visits from someone who knows what to look for make it more likely that small issues are spotted early, before they become bigger problems.

Storms, seasons and trades
Nova Scotia weather keeps us busy. We can check your home before and after a storm or a power outage, help with seasonal opening and closing, hold keys and let trusted trades in. If we find a problem, we contact you promptly and, with your approval, arrange the repair.
A schedule that suits you
Choose weekly, every two weeks, monthly or a custom schedule, with extra visits after major storms. Many home insurance policies ask that a vacant home be checked regularly, so review your policy, and we can provide a record of every visit.
Good to Know
How often will you check my home?
As often as you need: weekly, every two weeks, monthly or on a custom schedule, plus extra visits after major storms or power outages.
What happens if you find a problem?
We contact you promptly with what we found. With your approval, we arrange a trusted local trade and let them in, so the issue can be dealt with even if you are far away.
Do I need to rent my home to use this service?
No. Home watch and estate care is a separate service for homes that are not rented, whether they are empty for a season, between owners or waiting to be settled.
Can you help with an estate home?
Yes. We can keep an eye on a home while an estate is being settled or the property is being sold, giving executors and families one less thing to worry about.
Which areas do you cover?
Halifax Regional Municipality, including St. Margaret's Bay, and the South Shore, including Hubbards, Blandford, Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.
Leave the checking to us
Tell us about your home and how long you will be away, and we will suggest a visit schedule that gives you peace of mind. No obligation.
