Old Town Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a colourful waterfront, excellent restaurants and easy trips to Blue Rocks and The Ovens. The Rosebay Getaway, Stillshore Retreat, Lakeside Cottage and the Lakeside Tiny Home are all within easy driving distance of town.
Staying near Mahone Bay
Famous for its three waterfront churches, artisan shops and cafes, Mahone Bay sits between Lunenburg and Chester. Our Covey Lake homes are about 10 minutes away.
Staying near Chester
A classic seaside village known for sailing, island views and the Chester Playhouse. Wild Bloom, our four season cottage on Nine Mile Lake, is an easy drive from the village and from Halifax.
Hirtle's Beach and Kingsburg
One of the South Shore's best loved beaches, with a long stretch of sand and a coastal hiking trail. The Rosebay Getaway is just minutes away.

You do not have to travel far for a real break. Our homes are made for Nova Scotians who want a weekend away from Halifax, Dartmouth or their own town: lake views, beach walks, a hot tub or a wood stove, and a quiet night in. Birthdays, anniversaries and family getaways are all welcome.
Getting here
From Halifax, our homes are roughly an hour to an hour and a half by car, close enough for a Friday evening arrival. Visitors from away usually fly into Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and drive from there. Coming from elsewhere in Nova Scotia, Canada, the United States or Europe? Where should I stay on Nova Scotia's South Shore for a weekend away?
Choose Lunenburg if you want restaurants, history and the waterfront close by. Mahone Bay and Chester offer a quieter village feel, and the lakes inland offer peace, privacy and beautiful views. Our homes cover all three, so tell us what matters most and we will suggest the best fit.
Are your cottages comfortable outside of summer?
Yes. Wild Bloom is a four season cottage with a cozy wood stove, and The Rosebay Getaway has in-floor heating. Check each home's booking page for live availability through fall, winter and spring.
Do any of your cottages have a hot tub?
Yes, three of them. Stillshore Retreat has a private year-round hot tub, Lakeside Cottage has a hot tub on its lakeside deck, and the Lakeside Tiny Home has its own private hot tub, a favourite with couples.
